I have been happily married for almost 15 years. I have 2 wonderful children, a son-9 and a daughter-4. This is our 5th year homeschooling. We attend Church on the Move in Oklahoma.
I have a passion to teach people how to live a healthy life–spirit, soul, and body.
I want to spur you to research, but you must filter everything through the Word of God. It is the only real truth. If I only get you to read your Bible more then I have done my job.
I believe we are all errant humans. You might not agree with me 100% of the time. I don’t agree with anyone 100% of the time, but I take what fits and throw out what doesn’t–always going back to see how it fits with the Word of God. I believe everyone has a piece of the puzzle to offer. Hopefully I can offer you a few pieces.
I believe all of us have unique, God-given talents and abilities and we are to use those for God’s glory. I do not consider myself a writer, but it is the best tool I have at the moment to get my message out. My real talent is in the kitchen–I love to cook and specifically cook from scratch. I have been cooking for 25 years.
I believe we need to end this cycle of relying on convenience foods. I believe processed food is at the heart of our world’s (and specifically our nation’s) health problems.

I tried this recipe (using the food processor) and it was wonderful. I was wondering if you have adapted it for wheat or rye bread, because I’d sure like to try those too.
Thanks for the wonderful recipe.

Danell,
I’m assuming you are talking about the French Bread recipe. I’m glad it turned out so good for you. I have not adapted it for wheat or rye. I do have a whole wheat loaf recipe that I plan on posting soon. I also recommend The Laurel’s Kitchen Bread Book by Laurel Robertson.

Hello Shannon,
I came across your blog and spent some time on it because of the great content! I really liked the posts about stress and mental health.
I am writing to you because Dr. Rhoberta Shaler has launched the new membership website, Taming Tense Times (http://www.tamingtensetimes.com), to give individuals and leaders the skills, insights and strategies to successfully manage and respond to the current global changes that seem to create challenges in lives, careers, relationships & businesses.
The website offers insights and information to conquer anxiety, reduce stress, and thrive even in the face of the current economic turbulence, and might be of interest to your visitors.
Please let me know your thoughts.

Kera,
I think there is probably some good information on your site. I really like the quote – “The words printed here are concepts. You must go through the experiences. –Carl Frederick”
However, we can try all the stress relief and mental health exercises we want, but if we don’t have God in our life, we will never have true peace.
